I'm in the Navy and I just got back from being out to sea for a little less than 2 weeks. Since I couldn't call my dad and wish him a happy father's day on the 21st, one of the first things I did when I got back was call him.
"Hey Dad just wanted to wish you a happy late father's day." "Thanks I appreciate it." "Yeah sorry for it being 5 days late, you know duty calls." "Oh well I hope you did all the proper paperwork" It took me a good solid minute before I understood the joke.
