Something that my mother claims to be true

I remember my mother told me about 6 years ago that his dad was sleeping in his bed when suddenly he opened his eyes and saw that a girl was just staring at him. Then my mother said that he must have thought how disturbing and annoying it should've been, and said then that he remembered that he was living on the third floor of a building. This story did scare me and I couldn't even freaking sleep that night.
